User Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your BookSide account and associated personal data. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your account.
Quick summary
- Temporary deactivation is available in-app (you can reactivate by logging in again).
- Permanent deletion is handled by support for verification and compliance.
Option 1 — Temporarily deactivate your account
- Open BookSide
- Go to Profile → Privacy Settings
- Tap Deactivate Account and confirm
Deactivation disables access until you log in again. It does not automatically delete your transaction history.
Option 2 — Request permanent deletion
Send an email to our support team:
- Email: hello@bookside.st
- Subject: Data Deletion Request
- Include: your account email (or phone number), full name, and any relevant context (e.g., “buyer account”, “seller account”)
Processing time & retention
- We aim to complete deletion/anonymization within 30 days after verification.
- We may retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example: financial, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution records).
